“The Blueprint of a Godly Man: Lessons from Adam”

(For more in-depth study, read and study the entirety of Genesis 2:7–25)

📖 Genesis 2:15 (NIV)

The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

🔑 Main Idea:

God created man with a divine purpose. From the beginning, Adam was called to be a Protector, a Provider, and a Producer. These same traits define a godly man today.

🛡️ 1. A Godly Man is a Protector

📍 Genesis 2:15 – “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

  • Adam was placed in the garden to guard it.

  • Protection encompasses both spiritual, physical, and emotional aspects.

  • A godly man watches over his family, covering them in prayer, wisdom, and presence.

Reflection Question:

What areas of your life or family do you need to better guard?

💼 2. A Godly Man is a Provider

📍 Genesis 2:9, 15 – Adam was tasked with managing the resources God gave.

  • God provides the resources, man provides the effort.

  • Provision means more than money—it includes emotional and spiritual support.

  • The garden didn’t grow itself. Adam had to cultivate it.

Reflection Question:

Are you creating an environment where your family can grow spiritually and emotionally?

🌱 3. A Godly Man is a Producer

📍 Genesis 1:28 – “Be fruitful and multiply…”

  • God expects multiplication: legacy, wisdom, godly influence.

  • Adam produced Eve from his side—men are meant to build and birth.

  • Every godly man should leave something that outlives him.

Reflection Question:

What are you producing in your family, community, or church?

✝️ Jesus: The Second Adam

Where Adam failed, Jesus triumphed. Through Christ, every man can walk in the original design.

📍 Romans 5:19 – “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”

📝 Commitment Section:

Today, I commit to becoming a godly man who:
☐ Protects my home and my heart
☐ Provides for my family with love and wisdom
☐ Produces a legacy of righteousness and leadership
